The teenage years are difficult enough without the added burden of cancer. For 13-17 year-old cancer patients, Special Love offers Fantastic Friends Weekend to give them a chance to include their best friends in the “camp experience.”
A best friend is one of the most important members of a teen’s community of support, so by helping friends understand the cancer ordeal, Special Love strengthens the support system that teens with cancer rely on all year round.
