Financial Assistance
Special Love provides financial assistance to our families in two ways (please read eligibility qualifications carefully):

The Kay/Moore Scholarship Fund provides grants ranging from $500 to $2500 to young adults who are past or current participants in our camping/retreat programs. Applications are mailed out in late February and are due back no later than April 1st. Click to see a sample application and cover letter from our last grant period. The Kathy Russell Emergency Relief Fund is open to families of children (ages 25 and under) with cancer in the Mid-Atlantic region (Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC, and Eastern panhandle of WV). Guidelines are listed here and applications should be signed by a hospital social worker.
